History of ETEI, Polasara
The present Government Elementary Teacher Education Institution, Polasara, Ganjam was known as Govt. Secondary Training School in 1966, where the course was being run as C.T. The minimum education qualification was Matric & +2. But then after the Diploma course re named as Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in same qualification.
The institution has the key responsibilities to run the pre service Teacher education training course in addition to conduct various Co – Curricular and Extra Curricular activities.
